Looney Tunes And BOSS Team Up For Lunar New Year
As Lunar New Year approaches, and people around the world prepare to usher in the Year of the Rabbit, what better way to celebrate than with Bugs Bunny, the world’s most famous rabbit, and his friends! Today, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and BOSS reveal a unique collaborative capsule collection featuring the iconic Looney Tunes characters.
Bringing together much-loved characters and must-have BOSS silhouettes, Looney Tunes x BOSS is a fitting celebration to mark the start of the Year of the Rabbit. Combining images of Bugs Bunny and friends with traditional Lunar New Year elements, including flashes of Chinese red, the exclusive capsule collection features luxe yet laid-back jersey, knitwear, and outerwear pieces for men and women. The casual looks are worn by a cast of fresh faces, led by BOSS brand ambassador and Chinese Olympic champion swimmer, Wang Shun.
A playful campaign launches the collection. In an uplifting new film, a group of friends greets each other with high fives and warm hugs, sharing red envelopes as they celebrate Lunar New Year. They then gather on a sofa to watch Looney Tunes, before the fashion and cartoon worlds merge in a creative and unexpected final scene.
The new capsule features graphic patterns, prints, patches, and embroidery that bring the two instantly recognizable brands seamlessly together. Looney Tunes catchphrases, together with a variety of carrot and bunny motifs, combined with the signature BOSS logo and monogram pattern for a fresh and fun aesthetic.
In an expression of good wishes and hopes for the coming year, the base palette of black and white is augmented with bold injections of festive red and gold.
A unisex varsity jacket in mixed materials features Bugs Bunny in his own BOSS jacket, leaning against an oversized B motif, while a zip-through reversible jacket offers two looks in one. Further highlights of the collection include a knitted sweater with bunny intarsia, black jeans with tonal Bugs Bunny embroidery, and his-and-hers watches that combine images of Bugs and Lola with a red dial.
As Lunar New Year draws near, BOSS will also release special WeChat red packet covers and exclusive stickers on social media, and launch a mini program to interact with customers and make every aspect of their shopping experience more fun.
The new Looney Tunes x BOSS capsule, as well as the accompanying kidswear collection, is available online and in BOSS Stores globally from December 12, 2022.
