LOEWE Launces Fall-Winter 2025 Pre-Collection Campaign By Gray Sorrenti

Character study is an ever-evolving visual territory for LOEWE. The Fall-Winter 2025 Pre-Collection campaign is a new installment of this ongoing series, seen now through the photographic gaze, at once candid and stark, of Gray Sorrenti.

Our protagonists – LOEWE Global Brand Ambassador Yang Mi alongside actors Greta Lee, Josh O’Connor, and Stéphane Bak–are pictured in domestic settings; large windows and glass walls characterize the modernist architecture, that’s as stark and elegant as the clothes that our cast is dressed in. These character-defining elements offer ample surface for reflections to keep the viewer’s eye guessing. The light is warm and pervasive, but the geographical coordinates are deliberately erased. Things are not always as they seem, playing on scale, proportion, and detail, and the continuous zooming in and out that is a LOEWE signature.

All the talents are caught in cinematic situations that are slightly suspended and eerie. Are they rehearsing or studying their role? Are they academics immersed in the midst of research, or writers delving into an intense period of work? Josh O’Connor leans on the sofa, looking pensive straight into the camera, the grainy texture of the upholstery creating a sense of tactile warmth mixed with the smooth leather of the blouson and the Featherlight Puzzle at his side. Stéphane Bak lies on the desk, as if in meditation, holding a Puzzle in his hand. Greta Lee looks to the floor, grabbing the Madrid bag. Yang Mi stands against a wall, in a twisted dress with the Amazona 23 cropped, covering her eye with a cherry. Throughout, reflections bring glimpses of vegetation into the interiors, blurring the lines between inside and outside.

These domestic but mysterious situations highlight the idea of the collection building a wardrobe in a conversation between pattern and proportion. LOEWE’s dynamic approach to form and fabrication comes through in the fluidity of shapes and ambitious tailoring, as well as in the prominent use of florals and leathers. The shapes are both abstract and pragmatic, following a playful dialogue between body and garment that is quintessentially LOEWE.  Signature bags are updated in new palettes and materials; the Puzzle, either plain or with a decorative biker belt, is a protagonist, as well as the Madrid bag, which is now also available in supple grained calfskin, the versatile Roll-top Backpack arrives in new textiles, and the Ola, with its distinctive frill.

ABOUT THE COLLECTION

RTW: Florals

Proposing an elevated take on summer wardrobe staples, for the Fall-Winter 2025 Pre-Collection LOEWE revitalises core designs and renders bold new silhouettes in florals. For women’s ready-to-wear a conversation between pattern and proportion plays out across draped floral motif tops and dresses in silk-blend taffeta. Tops and jackets feature striking, scattered blooms in a light, bright palette, while deeper-toned prints adorn viscose jersey for after-dark dressing. For menswear, softly blurred flowers are paired with more utilitarian pieces in an understated study of contrasts.

Soft & Light Leather

Leather ready-to-wear is soft and supple. Reimagined for balmy summer days and nights, these designs bridge seasons and occasions: women’s blouses and shirts are crafted in lightweight nappa, alongside a selection of luxurious lambskin and goatskin outerwear. Typifying LOEWE’s skilled leatherwork, the men’s offering is equally lightweight and pleasingly tactile, with a focus on generously cut jackets, as well as shirts and shorts ensembles that can be worn indoors, providing effortless comfort.

Puzzle Bag

This year, the iconic Puzzle bag celebrates its 10th anniversary. This milestone is celebrated with an exclusive capsule collection of 19 Puzzle re-editions, showcasing some of the bag’s most memorable interpretations over the past decade: from manga-inspired prints and jacquard wool tartans to intarsia pansies. These re-editions will be joined by an entirely new ‘confetti’ design to celebrate the anniversary. Paying homage to ten years of creativity and craftsmanship, each bag is finished with a Puzzle 10 limited-edition metal plaque and removable LOEWE-engraved balloon dice.

A rich Puzzle offering in our pre-collection features classic calf and soft-grained calf options alongside featherlight nappa in new shades, including Dark Brownie and Shell Grey. The women’s exotic offering incorporates the subtle shine of python and voluptuous feel of crocodile, while the Biker in sleek calf is finished with rivets and a decorative belt with metallic eyelets and roller buckle. The Puzzle Landscape in nappa calf with woven handles boasts vivid landscape patterning, with layers of colourful leather cut, compressed, and skived into undulating shapes that resemble rock strata or topographical illustrations.

Men’s Puzzle options are enriched with new leathers and styles. Supple, grained calf options range from elegant Black to understated neutrals, Tundra and Light Canyon Brown, while the Biker brings a fresh edge with its belt and hardware detailing. This season also introduces a playful brick animation, crafted with leather marquetry to create a bright, graphic effect, alongside a distinctive stripes animation that brings dynamic movement to the classic silhouette through precise leather inlay work.

Soft Pebble

This season’s shoes are soft and sleek, with an emphasis on the gold pebble with an engraved Anagram signature detail that forms the centrepiece of the new Pebble line. It becomes a metallic focal point on the new Pebble soft ballerina and mule, both crafted in nappa lambskin, creating a supple second skin effect in shades of Oak, Black, and Dandelion.

Rio

LOEWE’s Rio slippers offer a refined blend of artisanal technique and modern design. Featuring LOEWE’s signature petal toe shape, the slipper is crafted from suede and finished with hand-embroidered colored raffia. Each pair is created by an artisan, requiring two days of meticulous work. The upper is bonded to create a barefoot-like experience, and the women’s iteration is finished with a metallic Anagram pebble on each side, while the men’s version features an embossed Anagram logo. The TPU rubber outsole also features an all-over embossed Anagram. Equally adept at providing great comfort on city streets and sandy beaches, the Rio is the ideal wear-anywhere summer shoe. It is available in Green, Fuchsia, Orange, and Light Blue.

Puzzle Biker

Crafted in shiny calfskin, the Puzzle Biker channels the hard-edged, worn-in nonchalance of a biker jacket. The focal point is the decorative belt featuring metallic eyelets and a chunky roller buckle, the vintage silver hardware and rivet accents adding a raw edge to the supple, shiny calfskin. Echoing the 10th anniversary re-edition of the Puzzle bag, the Biker is also embellished with double stitching outlining every panel and a decorative shoulder tab with an Anagram engraved press button. It is available in Black and Dark Brownie.
