Versace Resort 2025 Collection

Donatella continues to be inspired by a generation of young people, a Versace World, who are demanding more. Their demand for more joy and optimism is reflected in vibrant bursts of color and print, worn in mix-and-match outfits. Their demand for togetherness and empathy in the use of considered materials crafted into pieces with an overall feeling of total, embracing softness and warmth. For more attitude in the use of Versace safety pins, unexpected prints, and energetic silhouettes. For those who want more, there will always be Versace. “I love this vibrant Versace Gang. Preppy punk, a little mod, sharply tailored with acid colors and prints, slashed and layered. This is the young rebel attitude I love with clothes worn in an entirely personal way. Take Versace and make it your own.”Donatella Versace

WOMEN’S COLLECTION

For the colder winter months, the Versace woman is embraced in a feeling of total softness coming from fuzzy knitwear, shearling trims, softly structured tailoring, and pillow-like quilted bags. The collection’s opening looks revolve around classic tailoring shapes—round-neck cardigan jacket, new equestrian jacket, pencil skirt—but each is designed with unexpected and fun details, by no means classic. Tailoring and oversized sweaters are worn with stirrup leggings for a clash of style and proportion. Dalmatian and leopard prints playfully feature across the collection including as printed long-hair leather borders to the collars of jackets, the hems of pencil skirts, or in full looks extending to shoes. Shearling trims ripple across herringbone cropped jackets, knit tops, cardigans and dresses. Cold silver Medusa buttons, belts with Gianni Ribbon buckles, and safety pin fastenings all give hits of attitude in a way only Versace knows how.

The transition into spring brings with it bursts of vibrant color, print, and impulsive mix- and-match dressing. Silhouettes have an exciting restlessness—denim dresses and skirts feature sculptural ribbon embroidery; jersey tops and dresses are slashed across the shoulder; tops, skirts and dresses are twisted and fastened with safety pins; nappa leather jackets and pants are so soft they almost mold to the body. A slinky liquid jersey dress features the golden chain of the Kleio bag as a pinstripe, and a graphic of strawberries, ladybugs, and flowers in red or lime is worked as a print, semi-transparent devoré, or embroidery of sequins, crystals, micro beads and metallic thread, and worn clashed together.

Accessories emphasize the collection’s overall sumptuousness. The pillow-like Kleio crossbody and foldable Protea bags are made from butter-soft nappa plongé leather. Options in quilted leather only make styles more irresistible to the touch and is an update to the previously highly structural bags in the Medusa ’95 collection. New Versace Tag bags in mini bowling, hobo and shoulder bag shapes have an impulsive grab-and-go sensibility and ultra-soft leather. V2025 shoes are strongly graphic with a Versace ‘V’ heel, which also features as a chain to strappy sandals, jewelry and belts. A softer rounded toe and Medusa bow define knee-high boots, ballerinas, pumps and mules in the Opera Bow line. Rounded cube heeled Mary Janes and mules feature a high-gloss Versace Milano logo plaque in pop colors.

MEN’S COLLECTION

Versace menswear always has a hit of the unexpected. This season, it’s a tailored suit in richly deep burgundy but worn with pop-pastel blue socks and sandals. Elegant belts but worn in stacked multiples for clashes of cold, hard metal. The signature Barocco but in lime green devoré and worn with otherwise sober gray pants. In the smallest of details or the most exuberant of colorfully printed pieces, it’s a collection that could only be Versace.

Donatella takes tailoring as the starting point for any Men’s collection, with the intention of disrupting and re-interpreting sartorial codes. A base of burgundy and black puts emphasis on the rigorous shapes of fitted tailored jackets, overshirts and pants, and highlights details like pockets with Medusa coin zippers or a golden Medusa Biggie, and sportswear-inspired pressed buttons. These same shapes are dialed-up to the max in colors of lime green and bright lipstick red. A signature use of print is explored to its full potential. Golden chains are blown-up in large scale against backgrounds of lime green and pastel blue. The Versace Gallery print is a kaleidoscopic collection of artworks decorating quilted overshirts and fluid silk shirts. Other material techniques expand the potential of graphics from print to jacquard, semi-sheer devoré, and cable knit workmanship with micro slashes. The Strawberry Garden print is a joyful blast worn layered and in color clashes.

Punchy new colorways of the Versace Mercury sneakers are in-keeping with its innovative, futuristic design. A clog-like sole featuring to Stack sandals, mules and boots is punctuated by golden metal Medusa heads. Thong sandals in pop colors are worn with matching color tabi socks. In bags, the Medusa Biggie collection takes-on a new super- soft padded leather finish across versatile, clean styles. New Versace Myth bags in quilted nylon have a soft hand feel that contrasts with cold metal Versace logo lettering.
