Burberry invites you inside to celebrate the launch of its 2025 holiday campaign, ‘’Twas The Knight Before...’
‘It’s a party invitation for family and friends,’ says Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee, ‘with some great ideas for gifts.’
Directed by John Madden – whose acclaimed films include ‘Shakespeare in Love’, ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’ and ‘Operation Mincemeat’ – the campaign film unfolds in a cosy London townhouse. Amid the charm and commotion of party preparations, legendary comedian and actor Jennifer Saunders welcomes an all-star cast from the worlds of film, fashion and sport: Naomi Campbell, Ncuti Gatwa, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Son Heung-min. Each arrives bearing gifts, good humour and a touch of Burberry elegance.
From canapés to carols, the story follows Saunders as she hosts her guests for the festive gathering, including an impromptu doorstep performance from a family of carollers.
BURBERRY GIFTING
The cast showcases this season’s Burberry outerwear, with heritage icons reinterpreted through modern silhouettes and detail.
Jennifer Saunders wears the Heath quilted cape in walrus brown and hemlock beige, detailed with a corduroy collar, detachable shearling trim and shield-shaped throat latch.
Naomi Campbell wears the Trerose trench coat, cut in water-resistant tundra beige, with a bow- detailed collar and antique-finish hardware.
Ncuti Gatwa wears a new-season trench in marsh green, featuring leather-wrapped B buckles and a Burberry Check lining.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wears the short Fitzrovia trench, crafted in Castleford, Yorkshire, which reworks tradition with a fuller skirt and domed metal buttons engraved with the Burberry crest and unicorns.
Son Heung-min wears the Harrogate duffle coat in scout green – woven with blanket-inspired stripes and finished with buffalo-horn toggles – and a Harrington jacket in garment-dyed cotton canvas, elevated by a knitted Equestrian Knight.
Alongside outerwear ideas is a curated selection of gifts for the whole family, capturing the warmth and spirit of the holidays. Signature bags and accessories include the Bloomsbury tote and Highlands backpack, alongside iconic cashmere scarves and soft accessories. Childrenswear features knits, shirts and dresses. Completing the offering are Burberry Goddess and Burberry Hero fragrances, evoking warmth and timeless British elegance.
Burberry is offering personalised embroidery on check scarves and cashmere sweaters, with new symbols and thread options expanding the possibilities of a truly unique piece. The complimentary monogramming service allows customers to add up to five initials or icons, intricately stitched in a chosen colour.
