Recycle Your Blues
Inspired by the Gap for Good initiatives to be a force of change for the entire planet, Gap Philippines will once again mount its Recycle Your Blues campaign from August 13 to 31, 2022. Donate old denim jeans at any Gap store and get 40% off on regular-priced jeans. One pair of denim jeans donated will entitle the customer one 40% off voucher valid on one (1) pair of denim jeans. Any pair of jeans will be accepted as long as it’s sanitized and reusable.
The heritage of Gap has been solidified because of denim jeans - different styles and washes , all made for all generations. Throughout the years, technological improvements have been made for this iconic piece but one thing stands out: the Washwell Program. Denim under this program is made using at least 20% less water compared to conventional wash methods. 447 Million liters of water have been saved ever since 2016 and the brand is well on its way to achieving the goal of a water-resilient supply chain by 2050.
Doing good together for our environment, one denim at a time with Goodwill Philippines
Last 2019, 755 pairs of jeans were collected in just 3 days, all given to children in shelters and impoverished communities. This year, Gap is partnering with Goodwill Philippines Inc., whose values and efforts align with the brand’s sustainability efforts. Goodwill Philippines is a non-profit civic organization committed to the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities (PWDs) and the disadvantaged through skill empowerment. Livelihood programs have been in place for years, most notably their upcycling program on donated old fabrics from donors around the metro.
The Recycle Your Blues campaign will run from August 13 to 31, 2022 at the following Gap stores: Alabang Town Center, Glorietta 4, Shangri-la Mall, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, Trinoma, and Abreeza, Davao.
In the Philippines, Gap is exclusively distributed by Specialty Lifestyle Concepts, Inc. (formerly Casual Clothing Retailers, Inc.), a member of SSI Group, Inc. Gap is available at Glorietta 4, Shangri-La Plaza, SM Mall of Asia, Trinoma, Alabang Town Center, SM Megamall, and Abreeza Davao.
