Water Ways: Diesel Partners With Famed Watercraft Brand Sea-Doo For A New Capsule

This summer, DIESEL presents a brand new beachwear collaboration rendered in partnership with Sea-Doo.

Known globally as the world leader for its personal watercraft, Sea-Doo—based in Quebec, Canada—is a warm-weather staple for fun on the water. Celebrities including Rihanna, Beyoncé, DJ Khaled, Lewis Hamilton, and Gigi and Bella Hadid have been spotted around the world enjoying Sea-Doo watercraft. 

Sea-Doo and DIESEL’s DNA overlap: both are known for innovation, quality, creativity and irreverence. The DIESEL x Sea-Doo Capsule Collection pushes the limits of these characteristics, in a slick, 90’s-centric lineup for women and men that holds both swimwear and ready-to-wear.

The partnership’s focus is its logo: a hybridized DIESEL and Sea-Doo icon, blended to display the former’s modern graphic approach and the latter’s hydrodynamic vibe. Every piece in the collection will feature this joint logo. Together, the capsule represents a perfect choice for a summer with a sportive attitude—whether you’re a big-wave surfer, a deep-sea diver, a lap-swimmer or a professional sun-bather.

Standout womenswear designs include competitive surfing-inspired one-pieces, as well as mix-and-match bikinis. These are available, mainly, in color-blocked two-toned treatments or a tie-dyed effect. The palette includes black, pink, orange, blue and purple. Textural features include exposed zips and branded belts; crop-tops and cycling shorts are also featured. Additionally, there are multiple options of shower slides, many with text-based graphics. 

Key menswear pieces include four styles of swim trunks, each of which feature bold color-blocked patterns. The main hues employed are: black, blue, green, orange, pink and purple. Complementary t-shirts and sweatshirts echo the 90’s-era aesthetic by depicting graphics that recall Sea-Doo watercraft designs. Also included: one lightweight scuba fleece jacket; branded towels; shower slides and baseball caps.

The DIESEL x Sea-Doo Capsule Collection will hit shelves from today July 1st, and will be sold in select DIESEL stories worldwide, as well as through wholesale, trade channels and on www.diesel.com.
