Saint-Tropez evokes a mood - that of devastatingly chic French summer style. So it was that the famous town inspired an exquisite watch, Charriol’s St Tropez™ - a timepiece design to match the flair and irresistible allure of Brigitte Bardot in And God Created Woman.
To celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary, Creative Director and Chairwoman Coralie Charriol is releasing the new ST-TROPEZ™, a modern take on the bestseller that reflects the sharp luxury and supple charm of the jewel of the Côte d’Azur.
New redesigned St-Tropez™
Coralie’s newest offering is designed to stand the test of time, to offer a classic yet distinct timepiece that will gather the memories of a lifetime.
“Most of my most treasured memories - those with my dad, my own children and most beloved friends - involve visiting Saint-Tropez, or wearing the St-Tropez™; and it’s usually best if it’s both at the same time! It’s a watch that never disappoints and for me is always associated with moments of intense joy. After a year of so much uncertainty, we’re all feeling the call of the sun, of a little bit of easy living and summertime joie-de-vivre. I was so inspired to turn to this mainstay of our offering and give it a little refresh.”
Swiss Made since 1983
The hallmark of the St-Tropez™ watch collection is its rigid, open cable bracelet. Each of these bracelets, adorned with two décor clips, features a unique chain bracelet accompanied by a security chain and safety clasp.
Each Charriol cable is manufactured in Switzerland from an exclusive alloy of stainless steel and titanium. They undergo hypoallergenic treatment in a tightly controlled 23-steps production process – the same process used in the medical device industry.
St-Tropez™ watches meet the strict standards of Swiss Made - like all Charriol watches, they are assembled in the brand’s workshops in Switzerland and have been delivered worldwide for nearly 40 years.
Bijoux montre
The new St-Tropez™ builds on the original design with an open dial, a slimmer bezel and more simplified attaché and bracelet clasps. The watch remains a bijoux montre, watch and bracelet combined in one, but with an updated chain design. Inspired by the nautical history of the seaport, the new Marina chain features oblate oval links, an elegant motif that compliments our house codes and will grow into a new staple in our offering. The signature cable band has been slimmed but remains five cables, and is decorated with engraved oval openwork. The watch is designed in a classic 25mm size, or offered as a 20mm mini, perfect for styling on a sun-kissed wrist full of bangles, bracelets and diamonds.
