Bottega Veneta Opens Its First Café In Osaka
Bottega Veneta is pleased to announce the opening of its first cafè in Osaka in Hankyu Men’s department store. The Bottega Cafè measures 55 square meters and is directly accessible from the brand’s boutique, located on the 2nd floor of the department store.
Designed around the concept of lightness, the space explores the blurred boundaries between perceived exterior and interior areas. The tension between bold material colours and light elements evokes intrigue, while the overarching feel reflects the brand’s sophisticated Italian roots.
Upon entering the space, the change in level is highlighted by the Terrazzo Palladiano flooring made with a variety of Venetian marbles and bright pink neon signage, giving the impression of a balcony above the city. Meanwhile, the glass garden wall exposes nature’s greenery alongside an architectural wall with a weathered white plaster finish.
The entire space is embraced by a generous curved plywood bench and ribbed glass windows that filter through natural light. Finished in Bottega blue, the tables and bar punctuate the space grounded by deep green and black flooring. The seating recalls the house’s signature intrecciato in a luxurious espresso leather supported by the sensual wooden structures.
The Bottega Cafè offers a curated menu inspired by the traditional Italian staples such as coffee, teas, juices and wine, as well as an array of desserts and salty aperitivo bites. Nodding to the brand’s rich heritage, the noteworthy wine selection exclusively comprises bottles from the Veneto region – the birthplace of Bottega Veneta.
