Bottega Veneta Celebrates Qixi With A New Film, Towards You

In celebration of Qixi, Bottega Veneta’s new film “Towards You” explores the universality of love today. Love’s intricacies are told through a multiplicity of characters running with high adrenaline through different parts of cities in China. Rather than expected endings, the film focuses on the pure joy and high energy of their race towards love – differentiated through chance happenings and encounters with strangers or past lovers on the way.

“Towards You’ is the third collaboration with Jess Jing Zou, commissioned by creative director Matthieu Blazy. Zou directed the past Qixi and Chinese New Year films. Among the characters and couples featured, a key protagonist is Hashizume Mika, while Wei Xiaotong and Xu Yifei return from last year’s Qixi film, “Love in Motion”. Following the Beijing Winter 23 show, “Towards You” further establishes Blazy’s value of self- expression, where the truest luxury is to be oneself.
