72nd Annual Cannes Film Festival
SSI brands were displayed in abundance at this year’s 72nd Annual Cannes Film festival. Celebrities debuted everything from high jewelry collections not yet available to the public to haute couture gowns from the world’s most renowned fashion houses on the red carpet.
CARTIER was prominently featured at the opening ceremony of the 72nd Annual Cannes Film Festival with Iranian actress, Golshifteh Farahani premiering an exclusive set from Cartier’s upcoming Magnitude High Jewelry Collection which officially launches next June. Tilda Swinton, who stars in Jim Jarmusch’s The Dead Don’t Die, elegantly graced the steps wearing a Cartier diamond cuff bracelet paired with a diamond double-ring. Lebanese film director and President of the Un Certain Regard jury, Nadine Labaki opted for the Maison’s iconic Panthère de Cartier line. Franco-British actress and Un Certain Regard jury member, Amira Casar chose to associate a Clash de Cartier ear cuff and matching bangle with a Cactus de Cartier bracelet.
THE HOUSE OF GIVENCHY was pleased to announce that actress Julianne Moore wore a Givenchy Haute Couture Fall Winter 2018 outfit, designed by Clare Waight Keller, to the Rocketman premiere held on May 16th, 2019 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. In addition, Golshifteh Farahani wore a Givenchy Haute Couture Spring Summer 2019 outfit, also designed by Clare Waight Keller, to the Opening Ceremony and the Dead Don’t Die Premiere held on May 14th, 2019 at Palais des Festivals.
GUCCI also premiered several stunning looks at the Cannes Film Festival. Jury member Elle Fanning wore a Gucci soft pink silk gown with cape, purple and ivory floral embroidery at the waist and nude leather platform high heel sandals to the screening of the film The Dead Don’t Die and Opening Ceremony at Palais des Festivals on May 14, 2019 in Cannes, France. JR wore Gucci Pre-Fall 2019 look 76, a blue velvet one button shawl lapel jacket with contrast satin lapel and cuffs, a white pleated evening shirt with round collar, black tuxedo trousers, blue velvet bow tie and black leather lace-ups to the screening of Les Miserables on May 15, 2019.
TOMMY HILFIGER announced that Rahi Chadda and French model Baptiste Giabiconi wore Tommy Hilfiger to the screening of Rocketman at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival on May 16, 2019 in Cannes, France. Giabiconi wore a Tommy Hilfiger tailored double breasted navy fine wool tuxedo with black satin lapel and side stripe. Chadda wore a Tommy Hilfiger tailored royal blue velvet tuxedo.
