Tommy Hilfiger Announces The Latest Fall 2019 TommyXLewis Capsule Collection Designed In Collaboration With Lewis Hamilton
Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], announces the Fall 2019 TommyXLewis collaborative capsule collection codesigned by iconic American designer Tommy Hilfiger with Lewis Hamilton, five-time FIA Formula OneTM World Drivers’ Champion and global men’s brand ambassador. The British racing legend will appear in the capsule collection’s global multimedia fashion campaign, which will launch worldwide in Fall 2019.
“For Fall 2019, Lewis and I were inspired by the clashing of two distinct worlds – classic American sportswear and modern streetwear designs,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “The collection blends two creative points of view, creating styles infused with Lewis’ creativity and vision, for a new twist to our brand DNA. The integrated campaign was shot by Mikael Jansson and will break globally in Fall 2019. It combines elevated and sartorial elegance with streetwear style - pushing the boundaries to create a new attitude and energy with an added Tommy twist. The campaign will feature video, print, online, and out of home media placements, which will be supported by unique consumer activations that continue to bring the brand’s perspective on pop culture to life around the world.
The Fall 2019 TommyXLewis collaborative collection is clashes all-terrain travel with timeless sartorial looks for the city. Re:Down® and organic cotton add a sustainable element to the collection. Warm burgundy and neutral tones blend with timeless checks and red and purple tie-dye, infusing the classic tracksuit, turtleneck, wool coat, and parka with a modern twist. The “LH” logo has evolved into a minimalistic black square design that continues to celebrate the iconic TOMMY HILFIGER flag and the British racing driver’s initials. The newest collection features apparel, footwear, accessories, underwear and socks.
The Fall 2019 TommyXLewis collection will be available online at tommy.com, at TOMMY HILFIGER stores globally, and through select wholesale partners. The brand heritage of TOMMY HILFIGER is closely linked to collaborating with pop culture icons from the worlds of fashion, music, art and entertainment. In the ‘90s, Tommy Hilfiger was one of the first designers to blend fashion and celebrity. He became a pioneer in the industry by dressing young artists such as Aaliyah, Mark Ronson and Usher; and featuring musicians such as David Bowie and Beyoncé in his advertising campaigns.
