Michael Kors Hosts Series Of Global, Bond-Inspired Trips To Celebrate The Debut Of The First-Ever MMK x 007 Capsule
WHAT: A series of 007-themed getaways held in dazzling destinations around the globe to celebrate the launch of the special-edition MMK x 007 capsule and the first-ever collaboration between MICHAEL Michael Kors and the famed James Bond film franchise.
The MMK x 007 partnership centers on the glamour and adventure synonymous with both the Bond enterprise and the Michael Kors brand. The 11-piece MMK x 007 product capsule, featured in a campaign that stars Bella Hadid and Cindy Bruna, brings to life the sophistication and timeless appeal of the Bond films. The capsule features a sleek black and metallic palette—including a first-of-its-kind exclusive black and gold Michael Kors Signature print. From handbags and luggage to swimwear and footwear, the capsule has everything you need for a life on the go.
Each of the glamorous, action-packed trips had its own Bond-inspired highlights:
In China, guests were helicoptered to Sanya, where they enjoyed wakeboarding, jet skiing and parasailing, as well as a gym class with renowned instructor LiuYe Zhou. The event culminated in a black-tie dinner in the spirit of Casino Royale.
In Miami, guests were transported in Michael Kors-provided Aston Martins to a luxury yacht, where they enjoyed an exclusive performance of “Diamonds Are Forever” by singer/songwriter Elena Rose and were treated to a day of adventure activities that included jet skiing, e-boarding and speed boating. A glam suite providing hair by Bumble & Bumble and makeup by Kevyn Aucoin, as well as a dinner next to the famed Damien Hurst sculpture at the Faena Hotel, were among the highlights of the festivities.
Activities in Reykjavik, where transportation was provided via helicopter and Land Rover, featured sand buggies and ATVs, as well as a 7-step Sky Ritual wellness treatment in the newly opened Sky Lagoon. A black-and-gold 007-themed cocktail party held in an Icelandic style cellar capped off the three-day celebration.
Guests at each of the destinations took part in a spirited TikTok challenge modeled after Bella Hadid in the opening of the brand’s campaign video: emerge from the water in 007 style, á la Jinx (played by Halle Berry) in Die Another Day.
