KENZO BY NIGO Fall-Winter 2025 Women’s and Men’s Collection Campaign

CROSS-TOWN KENZO: Two characters, one city. For the KENZO Fall-Winter 2025 Campaign, Artistic Director Nigo reunites his standalone Men’s and Women’s collections through a shared narrative set in New York City. Crossing the city from uptown to downtown, the campaign follows two contrasting archetypes: a preppy uptown man and a free-spirited Lower East Side girl. Shot by legendary street photographer Bruce Gilden whose flash-lit portraits define raw urban energy, the campaign captures a crosstown rhythm shaped by contrast and motion, with each character embodied through a new silhouette. The accompanying video, directed by Los Angeles collective Little Legs, echoes this energy through fast-paced sequences that follow the characters as they navigate the city.

Tailoring leads the visual narrative. In menswear, elevated kimono jackets with Japanese constructions appear in soft neutrals, contrasted with bold coats in vivid colors and plush textures—a tribute to Kenzo Takada’s instinctive use of primary tones. Fluffy fabrics bring energy to winter staples including boxy gilets and graphic knits. In womenswear, structure meets lightness through double-breasted grain de poudre tuxedos with velvet shawl lapels and satin-trimmed kimono jackets. Paired with sheer balloon trousers and peekaboo silk satin camisole slips, the silhouettes are imbued with a lingerie-like delicacy that softens the tailoring’s precision. The look is completed by the Kenzo Kumo bag, whose shirred handles and ribbon bows echo the collection’s ready-to-wear lingerie detailing.

At the heart of the campaign is the Bunnies graphic: Lucky Me? Lucky You! Inspired by a 1979 sketch from Kenzo Takada himself, the Maison’s graphic heritage is expressed through bold rabbit illustrations—embroidered, screen-printed, and animated across both men’s and women’s silhouettes. Appearing across sweatshirts and tees, the motif unveils Luke & K@li, the campaign’s playful protagonists.

A study in duality, told through tailoring and character—a dialogue between contrast and connection, carried through every silhouette. Together, their story reflects the spirit running through the collection. spirit of the collection.
