Diesel Red Tag x A-Cold-Wall Collection To Launch At New York Fashion Week
DIESEL is proud to announce the upcoming reveal of its latest DIESEL RED TAG collaborator: A-COLD-WALL* by Samuel Ross.
The capsule collection will be presented in an installation format on September 9, during New York Fashion Week. Ross will be in attendance for the event. An exclusive pre-order on select items will also be held at the installation on September 9, with the full collection distributed from December 4 through a network of select retailers curated by Tomorrow, the business accelerator and partner with Diesel on the RED TAG project, on diesel.com, a-cold-wall.com and in selected DIESEL flagship stores worldwide.
A-COLD-WALL* is DIESEL RED TAG’s fourth collaborative partner (following Shayne Oliver of Hood By Air, Glenn Martens of Y/Project and Gosha Rubchinskiy of GR-Uniforma); it was teased during London Fashion Week this past June at the SS20 show. The collaboration consists of a range of vegetable-dyed garments, avant-garde workwear and utility-focused details. This includes details such as translucent denim seam taping and the use of the devoré technique – layering Diesel’s traditional heavyweight denim with memory nylons that have become synonymous with A-Cold-Wall’s design aesthetic. The capsule embodies DIESEL’s iconic denim history and Ross’ high-concept, intellectual designs, with which he has built a global following at A-COLD-WALL*.
The DIESEL RED TAG x A-COLD-WALL* collection will be introduced through a series of videos and still life imagery developed by Dexter Navy, and a look-book photographed by Rob Rusling, all of which will be viewable on diesel.com, a-cold-wall.com and on socials.
The installation debuting on September 9 will be located at 107 Grand Street, NYC. The concept of the space designed specifically for the rollout, incorporates Ross’ well-established cerebral-industrial aesthetic; featuring suspended garments, white fluorescent tube-lighting, raw metal scaffolding and a global debut of a film developed by world renowned filmmaker Dexter Navy. The installation space will also serve as the exclusive pre-order location.
In line with the global retail launch scheduled for December, the collaboration will continue to roll-out with activations in Tokyo and at Innersect in Shanghai.
