Choose Muji Linen For Cool Summer Days Ahead

This season, MUJI presents Linen as its choice fabric for Spring and Summer. Enjoy the classic styles and silhouettes of their Linen Collection in an array of natural colors that represent the joyful colors of the season. Aside from linen’s elegant style, MUJI chose this fabric because of its natural softness and coolness that is perfect for warm humid summer days. It is also quick-drying and highly absorbent to keep you dry and comfortable. Unlike conventional linen fabric, MUJI linen is made from finer and smoother fibers that are not irritating on the skin. With a muted sheen, this collection can be ironed for a crisp look or left with natural wrinkles for a more casual look.

Why we use French Linen
To give you the best quality linen, MUJI sourced from a place where it grows best - an area that has the right amount of moisture and has a large difference of temperatures during the day and night. One of the areas chosen by MUJI is in northwest France, a region that meets these conditions perfectly. MUJI sources soft and strong linen fibers that are perfect to use for clothing from this area. From this, MUJI created its line of Linen clothing that is perfect to wear in the warm weather. Each piece is also designed with clean lines and sleek silhouettes that are versatile and flattering for anyone.

MUJI introduces Organic Linen
In an effort to reduce their carbon footprint and develop a sustainable way of producing clothes, MUJI has made it its mission to continuously improve, and to introduce more organic fabrics in its product line, one of which is linen. Like organic cotton, MUJI found Organic Linen in Xinjiang, China where weather conditions result to very few pests, removing the need to use harmful pesticides on linen plants. This way, MUJI is able to harvest Organic Linen that is free from chemical fertilizers and pesticides, making it good for both the environment, the farmers who harvest it, and the people who use it.
