LOEWE Spring Summer 2024 Pre-Collection
The SS24 precollection builds on the reproportioned silhouette from the FW23 runway to capture the transitional spirit of the season. Statement ready-to-wear features flocked textures, trompe l’oeil, and chain details, balanced with everyday essentials such as Argyle knits, casual jersey sets, and denim to complete the LOEWE creative wardrobe. As a house signature, leather and shearling are a focus, bringing a fresh perspective to coats and outerwear alongside new utilitarian fabrics and functionalities.
In bags, highlights include the distinctively ruched Squeeze, as well as the Puzzle and Puzzle Fold tote, both arriving in new bi-color combinations. The Pebble Bucket combines minimalist lines with a metal pebble motif, securing an adjustable strap. Icons such as the Flamenco are reconfigured with new pleated, round, and ruched top purse shapes, while the Hammock and Hammock Hobo Mini are updated with new season colorways.
Shoes offer an array of unexpected shapes and textures. The Toy heel range expands to the new Dust Mop pump, with its shaggy upper a nod to LOEWE’s recurring objet trouvé theme. Crystal embellishment adds sparkle to pumps, ballerinas, and mules, as do leopard and snake print accents. Mary Jane wedges and chunky buckled slides introduce a casual, comfort-led feel.
A festive collaboration with Kyoto-based ceramic studio Suna Fujita showcases LOEWE’s commitment to exquisite craftsmanship. Inspired by animals and natural landscapes, Suna Fujita’s artwork draws on imagination, childhood memories, and life with their son and pet dog to create stories that are hand-painted onto everyday ceramic pieces such as teapots, cups, and plates. These intricate characters and scenes have been transported to knitwear, jerseys and denim, signature bags, slippers, wallets, and accessories for SS24, with a menagerie of pandas, penguins, lemurs, otters, mandrake roots, and their human friends bringing a whimsical, collectible appeal to the gifting season. A new offering of lifestyle pieces rounds out the gift collection, with ornaments, boxes, cushions, and blankets featuring alongside jewelry, soft accessories, and bag charms.
