INTRODUCING THE CORE COLLECTION

Back by popular demand, these hero pieces return for AW20, reinterpreted in fresh colours and finishes:

The ROO bag

Part shopper, part backpack – inspired by a kangaroo’s pouch – this season the ROO comes in two-tone shades: tan and white; and dark blue with sky blue.

The Logo TEE

A MAX&Co. icon, the unisex design is currently available in a rainbow of shades. Sky blue, night blue and coral versions are new this season, as well as rust, sage and olive green.

A MAX&Co. CULT FAVOURITE, THE OYA SNEAKERS RETURN AGAIN FOR AW20

This season the versatile kicks are joined by a new style: the OYA EVO(LUTION). A versatile ankle boot style, the OYA EVO(LUTION) has the same techno-knit fabrication, extra comfortable sole and go-everywhere attitude.

Featuring top-stitch detailing inspired by compression socks, the boot iteration is equal parts functional and fashionable, and available in white, black, red and blue.

The original sneaker, the OYA, also gets a seasonal update in yellow, brown and blue with matching transparent rubber soles.

MAX&Co. PRE-FALL 2020

For AW20 MAX&Co. looks up – to the sky – for inspiration. The palette takes its cue from the changing colours of the skies, while materials have an airy, lightweight quality.

The codes of parachuting are translated into voluminous silhouettes and fluid fabrics. Functional, technical details like those found on parachuting equipment – drawstrings, sails, pockets and Velcro – ground these soft shapes with a utilitarian attitude.

Accessories run the gamut from industrial to feminine. The hero buy? The Chute bag, which takes versatility to new heights. Carry as a capacious tote, or tie the leather handles together to transform it into a backpack.

THE DAY DRESS EDIT

This season’s standout designs blend an easy attitude with an elevated aesthetic. Headlining the dress edit this season is the relaxed T-shirt dress. Crafted from thick, soft premium jersey and available in two lengths – midi and maxi – this pared back piece is one you’ll turn to again and again. Ushering in a softer take on workwear, the minimal design is also a no-brainer for off-duty dressing.

IT’S TIME TO RETHINK THE WORKWEAR RULES

Today’s busy woman demands versatile clothes that work as hard as she does. This season, stylish solutions for the modern working wardrobe include fluid separates, chic tailoring and rebooted takes on the classics.

The new office dress code no longer requires you to play it safe, as this season unconventional and unexpected pieces prove they really mean the business. A new take on tailoring headlines the rebooted workwear wardrobe. Why not consider the short suit? Seek out tailored, to-the-knee shorts and team with a cropped jacket. Or try a skirt suit – a mini looks great with a long-line blazer. Ease is key for navigating the new 9-5, make room for throw-on-and-go, zero hassle pieces like a shirt dress, which always mean business (even when you only have five minutes to get ready).

And always prioritize comfort. AW20’s oversized, cashmere striped sweater is a wardrobe hero that brings a touch of luxury to the working week. Prepare to wear on repeat.

Also on the workwear wishlist now: day dresses, relaxed suiting and a natty suede skirt and jacket pairing.

READY, STEADY, PARTY!

Bold designs and a confident spirit define this season’s event edit. The palette, which ranges from pared-back to punchy, takes its cue from the colours of the sky, with the crisp blues of a bright, brilliant spring day giving way to the soft, warm tones of sunset. Mix and match, or work into striking colour block looks.

Tailoring, trousers and after-dark knits make a sleek statement, with dresses leading the edit. Voluminous minis, sweeping maxis, and printed midis star. All are designed to be worn with minimum fuss and maximum impact.

This season’s key event-dressing pieces are united by their refreshing sense of ease. With an emphasis on comfort, a mix and match, dress up/dress down approach is central to the new going out spirit.

Here are the key styles and moods to master modern dressing:

• Go boho: painterly florals define the new take on boho dressing. Choose simple silhouettes and mix and match with tailoring for a contemporary spin.

• Shine on: slinky silk satins in jewel tones – equal parts effortless and opulent – exemplify the refreshed take on glamour.

• Pajama party: a languid velvet suit exudes all the laidback luxury of loungewear, with a decadent spirit that demands to be taken out.

• Desk to dinner: for the woman who is always on the go, a vibrant, sharply tailored trouser suit has endless office-to-out appeal.

THE RUNAWAY AND LONGRUN BELTED COATS ARE MAX&Co. STAPLES

The MAX&Co. Runaway and Longrun belted coats are the definitive forever pieces women return to season after season. For AW20, pattern becomes part of the story as, for the first time, both styles are available in checks (mini hound’s-tooth in pink or black), alongside block colour styles in seasonal shades. Want to go all-in? Coordinate with the matching Pillow bags.

Also joining the collection for the first time is the Purerun, the classic Runaway silhouette reimagined in pristine white premium Australian virgin wool. Seriously chic.
