There’s just something charming about tvN’s True Beauty that you can’t help but be led on and anticipate the next episode. The drama does remind you of My ID is Gangnam Beauty as it also touches on South Korea’s standard of beauty and the bullying that’s eminent when you just don’t fit in. Aside from that, idol singer and actor Cha Eun Woo starred in both dramas as the male lead; to be honest, that’s what got us to watch True Beauty despite the similarities. But as we delve deeper into the story, we can’t help but be fascinated by South Korean actress, Moon Ga Young, who plays the female lead, Lim Jugyeong. 

Her quirkiness and lovable character make you cheer her on as she grapples on keeping her secret to avoid getting bullied again. Her make-up skills may have given her enough confidence to start a new chapter in high school, but her true personality shines through melting the cold hearts of Lee Soo Ho (Cha Eun Woo) and Han Seojun (rising actor and model, Hwang Inyeop). Yet, we can’t deny how beautiful she looks every time she ‘transforms’ and with the right kind of accessories to complete her look, she definitely outshines everyone else.
