Cartier Celebrated Clash [Un]limited Collection

Cartier celebrated the launch of Clash [Un]limited and Clash de Cartier with an intimate rooftop dinner and performance by Finneas, Cartier’s creative collaborator for the project. The evening’s festivities kicked off when invited guests were treated to a private viewing of the exhibition that showcased the new assortment of limited-edition creations meant to shake up the conventions of fine jewelry and watches.

The Clash [Un]limited Exhibition, a concept designed for Cartier by Snarkitecture takes guests on a multi- room immersive journey and features an exclusive soundscape produced and created by Finneas. Upon entering the installation, guests get a rarified look into the exquisite craftsmanship of the highly exclusive pieces that make up the new collections, including a reversible high-jewelry necklace in white gold, onyx and diamonds, and aptly named “mitten” watch in rose gold mesh and diamonds. Other stand out pieces on display include conical onyx rings with diamond inlay and studded bracelets where each stud is fully articulated. Earrings, bracelets, and rings in a shagreen setting of white gold and amethyst are also on view.

Accomplished photographer, Renell Medrano, who has worked with top publications and counts Hollywood's young tastemakers as friends, shot Finneas wearing pieces from the Clash [Un]limited collection in the exhibition space exclusively for Cartier.

To me, Clash represented the opportunity to redefine and rediscover what it is about art that moves me the most. In crafting this piece, my intention was to create something that flowed seamlessly between the different sonic landscapes that have inspired me most throughout my life. The power of a delicate piano, the aggression of an overdrive guitar and the pulsing heartbeat of an electric leaning dance track. Music will always be the soundtrack to which we live our lives and having the opportunity to work with Cartier has been one I’ve cherished.
— Finneas

A performance by Finneas provided musical entertainment before dinner while guests enjoyed passed canapes and hand-crafted cocktails that echoed the irreverent theme of the new collections. A long-time friend of the Maison and recently announced face of the collection, Lily Collins was also in attendance.

Dinner featured an elegantly curated menu by Michelin-starred chef, restaurateur, author, and culinary entrepreneur, Curtis Stone, that was based on his philosophy of sustainability and fresh ingredients while taking inspiration from the Clash de Cartier collection. One-of-a-kind high gloss black chocolate picot domes filled with matte silver mini macarons by chef Chris Ford and inspired by Cartier’s new capsule collection, concluded the dinner celebration.

VIPs and notable guests in attendance included: Lily Collins, Global Ambassador, Clash [Un]limited, Finneas, Ella Balinska, Global Ambassador, Panthère de Cartier, Dan Levy, Kathy Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Ella Balinska, Ashe, Gracie Abrams, Benny Blanco, Claudia Sulewski, Renell Medrano and more.

ABOUT THE COLLECTION
More mesmerizing than ever, the new Clash [Un]Limited capsule collection rebels against classic forms. With exaggerated volumes, intense black, oversized studs and bold wearing options, they reinvent Clash de Cartier. An expression of extreme tension, a clash of opposites: geometric lines combined with inflated volumes. These new jewelry pieces echo and amplify the clash of two opposing attitudes.

The capsule, available upon exhibition opening, will feature spiked rings, bracelets and earrings using white gold, onyx, diamonds and amethyst, as well as two high-end watch styles offering the Maison’s distinctly edgy takes on a timepiece.
